Doege Invited to Lions Rookie Camp
Posted in Featured, SportsFollowing the BC Lions Evaluation Camp have officially invited Okanagan Sun defensive lineman Steven Doege to Lions Rookie Camp.
Doege impressed the Lions coaching staff along with Player Personnel and Assistant General Manager Neil McEvoy saying, “guys like that are a step above anyone else, regardless of the level they’re at. He’s really trained hard and it showed on all the athletic stuff he did and at the end of the day he had a really good workout.”
Doege was the 2011 Canadian Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year along with the Sun MVP and a BCFC All-Star. He would also establish a new BCFC career mark for sacks with a three year total of 33.5.
Lions Rookie Camp is scheduled for June in Kamloops. More BCFC players are expected to receive an invitation in the coming weeks.
