They lost only one game to host city Ufa, Russia who went on to win the gold. Bronze was taken by the team from the Ukraine.

“Team Kelowna had a strong second place finish in the hockey tournament with a 3 to 1 goals against average” stated Tom Watters, Head Coach for Team Kelowna” It was a rewarding experience competing in Ufa and playing in the same arena where the world juniors were just held. This was the trip of a life time for our athletes.”

Kelowna competed in boys hockey and girls figure skating at the Games. The figure skaters, Julianne Delaurier and Rosalyn Carr had a strong showing but finished out of the medals.
