Kelowna Jays Host Provincials

Posted in Featured, Sports

The Kelowna Jays will host the 2013 BC Junior Baseball Championships at Elks Stadium starting Friday afternoon.

The champion will win the right to represent BC at the 2014 Canadian Junior Championships.

The 2013 honour is held by the Burnaby Collegiate Bulldogs, who beat the Jays in last year’s tournament.  The Jays were two time defending champions.

The Bulldogs will look to defend their title as the team to beat as most of their roster is still in place.  The three team tournament will also include the Kamloops Sun Devils that will look to give the Jays and Bulldogs fits.
