Sissons Skates Against Russians

Kelowna Rockets captain Colton Sissons is preparing for the 2012 Subway Super Series Wednesday night as the 19-year-old will skate with Team WHL Wednesday against Team Russia.

Wednesday night’s game is in his hometown of Vancouver.

The series, betweem Team Russia and Teams from the QMJHL, OHL and WHL, is tied at two games a apiece after four of six games.

Sissons played in the series last year as well.  This season the Captain has nine goals and 10 assists through the first 20 games.

Meanwhile the Rockets are practicing for a weekend road trip that will see them play twice in Tri-City against the Americans who are off to a 13-7-1-1 start.

The Rockets are on a five game winning streak that has seen them climb to 12-6-1-1, second place in the WHL BC division.

Kelowna will return home for games Nov. 23 and 24 against Regina and Saskatoon.
