Sports Team of the Year – Kelowna Lions

Ryan Watters is proud to announce that the Kelowna Mission Lions have been named the “Ryan Watters.ca Sports Team of the Year” for 2011.

The junior bantam Lions football club was perfect in 2011 coached by Arden Knoll. They finished 12-0 during the regular season and outscored their opponents 591-89! They then dominated the BC final in Langley beating Meadow Ridge 44-6 and became the first Interior team to win the BC championship.

The 12 & 13 year old Lions would come together in early July to begin their quest to becoming the best in BC, a title they would claim easily as they would dominate all who would challenge.

The Kelowna Mission Lions are the 2011 Ryan Watters.ca Sports Team of the Year winners.

The Lions were selected from a panel of judges after a number of nominations were submitted.
