Steven Doege – Best in Canada

On Saturday night in Langley, RSS grad Steven Doege set a new Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) record with his 37.5 quarterback sack.

Doege breaks the record held by a Saskatoon Hilltop who played from 1985-1989.

During the week Doege is practicing with the BC Lions, then playing with the Sun over the weekend.

Here are some of Doege’s accomplishments over his career:

2011: BCFC All Star, CJFL All Canadian, CJFL Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year, Sun MVP, Established BCFC mark for career sacks

2010: CJFL All Canadian, BCFC all star, BCFC top defensive lineman, BCFC top defensive player/ Week 6 BCFC defensive player of the week, Set Sun record for sacks in a season (11.5) became Sun all time sack leader in just 2nd season

2009 Sun top rookie / BCFC all star, Tied CJFL record for sacks in a game (5) vs Big Kahuna Rams
