West Kelowna Hockeyville Reaction

It was the worst kept secret on Saturday as the West Kelowna bid for Kraft Hockeyville fell short.

Saturday morning media outlets across the country received an email from the PR company hired to run the Kraft Hockeyville promotion stating the winner, some 12 hours prior to the CBC broadcast.  Many believed, or wanted to believe, it was an early April Fools Day trick, as Ontario was named the winner.

Unfortunately for the West Kelowna bid, the email was true.  However to the credit of the West Kelowna organizing committee they preceded with their program on Saturday, giving the community a terrific atmosphere and day of celebration.

Following the official announcement on CBC during the Vancouver Canucks game, Ryan caught up with Adam Less, the committee chair to talk about the bid, the leak and now what.
